Mona Cheriyan

Mona Cheriyan is currently working as the HR Director and member of the Advisory Board of ASK Investment Managers Pvt Ltd. Her role entails leading the HR and Administration function for the group companies. She is responsible for the Strategy, Leadership Development, Employee Engagement and other HR functions at the Group level.

Prior to ASK, she was with Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd where she managed the Global Corporate HR team. She has done pioneering work in the areas of Employee Engagement, Global Policies and Processes, Leadership development, Diversity and Inclusivity, Compensation and Benefits, HR Audit and Process automation. She also worked with NIIT and the ESSAR group and provided consulting services in the area of HR Strategy and Systems. She has a rich and varied experience of over 25 years.

She is expert in behavioral sciences and personally imparts training in various Leadership development areas. She has also been associated with campuses viz. TISS, Symbiosis, SP Jain, IIFT, Welingkar etc., as a guest lecturer. She is also a regular key speaker at various NHRD, NASSCOM and other related forums in the area of Diversity and Inclusion.

Mona has been the recipient of the "Super Achievers Award" by the Indira Group of Institutes for outstanding achievement in the field of Human Resources in 2007, the "HR Leadership Award" awarded by the Employer Branding Awards in 2008 and the "Women Super Achiever Award" awarded by the World HRD Congress for 2009.

Deepa Sebastian

Prof. Dr. Ketna L. Mehta is a Researcher, Teacher, Author, Management Professional, Editor and Socially Conscious Professional.

Editor and Associate Dean, Research, We School, Mumbai.
Published over 50 research papers in different areas of management.
Authored a book entitled "Nano Thoughts on Management"(2005).
Worked with the Times of India, Blue Dart Express and had owned Management Consultancy for over 15years.

Obtained PhD. degree (2008) in a Pathbreaking topic "Market potential study for a world class Spinal Injury Center in Mumbai‟.

Founder Trustee of a 12-year-old NGO, Nina Foundation, which is working for the rehabilitation of people with Spinal Injury. 

Madhura Deshprabhu

AVP- Strategic HR and Learning Solutions, Talent Networks

Madhura Deshprabhu has worked with organizations of repute such as J P Morgan Chase and Oracle Corporation. In addition to being a postgraduate in HR, she is also a certified user for Thomas International's Personal Profile Analysis (PPA), Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) and Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

She has also been an active member of Society for Human Resource Management in the U.S.

In her current role as an AVP- Strategic HR and Learning Solutions at Talent Networks, she supports the clients in their organizational design, talent acquisition, performance management, grievance handling, designing of policies and in conducting workshops/training programs for the clients. Driving Employee Engagement Initiatives at the client has helped her to enhance her leadership competencies as well of the talent in the organizations in different industries. Her experience -international, multinational as well that of working with Indian companies has given her a cutting edge to groom young talent  to emerge successful in their  careers.

She is also a trained classical dancer and had also been one of the chosen 25 Esprit Brand Ambassadors in Mumbai.

In her pursuit of being a "Woman of substance', she is hoping to share, learn and groom herself through this Womentoring Committee.

Marcel R Parker


Marcel R Parker is a respected  veteran in the HR space and has served NHRD for almost 25 years in various capacities, more recently as Regional President Western Region and as a Member of the National Board too till 2009.Having worked with great companies like Voltas, ITC, Coromandel, The Oberoi Hotels, Xerox, Royal Dutch/Shell , SAP   and The Raymond Group he has added huge value in all domains of HR and learnt from world-class leaders too.

In his second innings he has Chaired the Board of IKYA, India's Fastest Growing Human Capital Solutions organization, is an ICF Accredited Executive Coach, teaches, consults and mentors students and professionals. Amongst his passions, is driving development and other related issues for women and was the founder of the WOMENTORING movement for NHRD Mumbai which has focused on this area.

Mona Bose


Mona Bose, with 15 years of professional experience in Human Resource Management, has led teams of young professionals in both multinationals as well as Indian entrepreneurial organizations, while building small and large format organizations, almost from scratch. Prior to Aranca, Mona has worked for companies ranging from one of India's leading business conglomerates, a premier online travel portal among others.

At Aranca, Mona provides leadership for building a scalable HR infrastructure in order to support the growth and profitability of the business. She has worked extensively in nurturing the performance and accountability culture through an integrated framework comprising talent management, performance management and employee engagement initiatives.

Mona has a Masters in Business Administration from the Institute of Technology and Management, Mumbai as well as a Post graduate Degree in Commerce from Mumbai University. She has attended a Corporate Social Responsibility Program at IIM, Indore and Advanced Strategic Human Resources program at Ross Business School, University Of Michigan. Her contribution towards getting an award for Cleartrip in category of "Employee Engagement" by Great Places to Work in the year 2010 was significant.

Navnit Nakra

Vice President, Citibank

Navnit Nakra is a Vice President with Citibank and is the Regional Head - North for the Institutional Liabilities Business. Navnit has been with Citibank for over 11 years working across various functions and locations - Chennai, Cochin, Mumbai and now at Gurgaon. Navnit is a founding member of the Citibank India Diversity Council; which partners with the company's senior management and HR to improve gender diversity at their senior management levels.

Navnit is an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), Delhi and an alumnus of Harvard Business School where he completed his Program for Leadership Development a few years ago. Navnit is an avid golfer and enjoys reading and travelling.

Piyush Upadhyay

Piyush Upadhyay is currently Chief – Strategic HR with Tata Power. Based in Mumbai, he is leading the organization transformation initiative from HR point of view. Prior to joining Tata Power, Piyush was the Executive Director - HR and Admin and member of the board of Volkswagen India Private Limited.

Piyush started his formal career in 1997 from Mumbai and brings a rich HR experience having worked in Hindustan Lever (now Hindustan Unilever), Times of India, Tata Steel and Tata BlueScope Steel. Prior to joining Volkswagen, Piyush, led the HR function at Tata BlueScope Steel as its Chief-Human Resources.

Piyush has participated extensively in various HR exchange programs in India and abroad, written and spoken at various platforms and forums. He also attended the Advanced Human Resource Executive Programme at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan, USA. Piyush, a Gold Medalist in his post graduation, is also one of the winners of National Competition for Young Managers and a recipient of Indira Super Achievers' Award.

Mr. P.N.Mogre

Since 1st July 2013, Mr. P.N.Mogre has been with Weschool: Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research as Chief of Corporate Interface Department.

Prior to joining Weschool, he served Indian Merchants' Chamber, Mumbai for 34 years. He served as Secretary General of IMC from 1990 to 2010 and prior to retirement from IMC, he was Chief Advisor of IMC from 2009 to 2010. During this period IMC signed 118 MOU's with leading chambers of commerce from over 60 countries and became one of the  most active Indian Chambers of commerce in world economy.

Prior to joining IMC, he served Federation of Small Industries of India from 1970 to 1977.This is an apex trade body of Small Scale Industries.

Rani Desai

Chief People Officer, Deloitte

Rani Desai is currently with Deloitte as Chief People Officer, She comes with over 27 years of rich experience in Human Resources functions from a gamut of industries like pharmaceuticals, infrastructure, telecom, textile, shipping, Engineering Services and IT. The experience has been in managing wide portfolios including partnering and strategizing in growth of start-up organizations through talent acquisition, organization development and development of human capital, and in integration of entities.

Prior to joining Deloitte, she was with Geometric Ltd. as Global Head and Vice President – Human Resources and Organization Development.

She has a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and holds post-graduate degree in Personnel Management from Tata Institute of Social Sciences. She also has a post-graduate degree in Law from Bombay University. She has also completed a certification program in Executive Coaching from Results Coaching System (RCS). She is a member of NHRDN and has actively participated in NHRDN events.

Santosh Nadkarni

Santosh Nadkarni is a Manager for National HRD Network, Mumbai Chapter. He is associated with NHRDN since July 2005.

Santosh started his career in 1980 with Shalimar Paints Ltd as a Sr. Executive – Logistics and Export – Import ( Administartion ). Later he moved to Sigma Paints in the year 2001 as a Asst Manager – Logistics and then from 2003 till june 2005 he worked with Jotun Paints as a Manager ( Interntional Trade and Logistics ).

Born in Mumbai, Santosh is a Commerce graduate from Mumbai University. He has also done Diploma in Management and also a course in Import / Export Management.

Beyond profession, he has keen interest in reading, Games and music.

He is married to Vandana Nadkarni, Manager in Nationalised Bank. His son Nimish is studying in second year of Business Management.

Sharmistha Sengupta

HR, Hindustan Unilever Limited

Sharmistha Sengupta has over 9 years of work experience in the industry. She started her career in Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), an apex industry body, and has been responsible for driving various agendas, committees and policy initiatives in this role.

At present she is working with Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) and has handled various roles as HR Business Partner to Corporate functions and is currently responsible for Talent Management in the Leadership Development team. She is also the Programme Manager for one of the esteemed trainee programme being run across all functions within the organization. She has worked extensively on driving various HR agendas like capability, engagement, manpower planning, training, talent management and development, talent acquisition and other leadership development initiatives, to name a few.

She has completed her post graduate specialization in Human Resource Management from Leeds University Business School, UK. She has also completed her MBA from University of Mumbai. She is a certified professional of Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD), UK. She is an active member of various HR forums like CIPD, NHRDN Mumbai Chapter (Womentoring Task Force member). Sonali Roychowdhury

Sonali Roychowdhury heads Human Resources for the Indian operations of US Multinational, Procter and Gamble. Procter and Gamble is the largest consumer goods company in the world and has a business in India of over INR 5500 crores. Some well-know brands from the company are Tide, Ariel, Pantene, Head and Shoulders, Gillette, Whisper, Vicks and Pampers. PandG is headquartered in Mumbai and has manufacturing / sales locations all across India.

Sonali joined the company in 1998, after a post-graduate Diploma in Personnel Management/Industrial Relations from XLRI Jamshedpur, and has gained diverse Human Resources experiences across PandG operations in India, Singapore and Vietnam. Sonali has built HR expertise in Organization Development, Talent Supply and Development, Leadership development, Employee Relations , Strategic Business Account Partnership and managing acquisitions.

She has a special interest in Talent management and leadership development and enjoys keeping abreast of external developments in this area through networks and publications. Sonali resides in Mumbai with her family and in her spare time, has an avid interest in travel. Sonali has held her current position since June 2008.

Her current role focuses on  building organizational success through people. She is responsible for Management  and  Leadership Development, Professional Skills Development and Team Development.

She has a varied experience of over 20 years and has worked with the CMS group of Companies, Boston Computers and Datapro. Sraboni is a science graduate and has completed her Masters Diploma in Computer Science. In Her leisure she enjoys music and experimenting with food. She is a fun loving person and loves to interact with people.

I am passionate about my profession and I strive for excellence in everything that I do. On a lighter note when at leisure I take time to indulge in music which is my second passion.
